Lucrarea sa “Not Enough (Beyond Reason)” a fost una dintre cele trei creatii nominalizate la categoria „Outstanding Independent Dance” in cadrul Hong Kong Dance Awards 2012.
De asemenea, Victor a fost selectat in cea mai recenta editie a SPAZIO, retea europeana pentru productie de dans, beneficiind alaturi de alti cinci coregrafi de rezidente in diferite orase din Europa, precum: Amsterdam, Bassano Del Grappa, Poznan si Zagreb. Performer si coregraf, Victor este, de asemenea, profesor in cadrul programului Classes & Courses, la The Place (Londra).
„Jurnal” (titlu in lucru) / Casandra Stelea
Are o experienta de peste zece ani in dans (Latin American si Ballroom), reusind sa se plaseze in competitii nationale in top zece.
In ianuarie 2013, Casandra a prezentat prima sa lucrare „Other’s moments” in cadrul celei mai mari platforme de dans din Anglia, Resolution!, in Londra, la The Place.
„Atlantic” / Juli Reinartz
„Atlantic” este versiunea solo a proiectului „Really Good Music“, ce are la baza o cercetare asupra implicatiilor sociale ale sunetului. Cercetarea teoretica pentru “Atlantic” a
durat un an si s-a desfasurat in cadrul rezidentei pe care am avut-o la Royal Institute of Art din Stockholm si in care am fost interesata de modul in care ascultam muzica astazi, in contextul in care tehnologia devine omniprezenta in vietile noastre. Am pus in discutie atat felul in care muzica ofera un spatiu mai divers pentru spectator, in comparatie cu spatiul oferit de teatru sau de dans, precum si implicatiile culturale si sociale ale muzicii. (Juli Reinartz)
Juli Reinartz detine un masterat in coregrafie la University for Dance and Circus (DOCH).

„M” / Victor Fung
Inspired by Albert Camus’s novel „L’Etranger”, „M” is a solo that blends text and movement in creating a performative portrait that explores the notion of estrangement. Rather than presenting a linear narration of the original text, the piece blends physical dynamism with gestural subtleties in portraying a character that is unwilling to conform to the norms of society.
The piece is not meant to be a linear narration that tells a story, but rather to get itself lost in narration, where the character unfolds and reveals himself.
Therefore, the creative process emphasizes the construction of such a character through text and movement, and how these elements can inform each other within the process. The aim of this residency is not about exploring how a character performs some dance steps, but exploring a character’s construction process through movement and text.
Victor Fung graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), and recently, completed his postgraduate studies in choreography at London Contemporary Dance School.
Recent performance credits include “Aida” at Royal Albert Hall, Tino Seghal’s “These Association” at Tate Modern and Hollywood production “47 Ronin” featuring Keanu Reeves.
His production “Not Enough (Beyond Reason)” was shortlisted as one of the three “Outstanding Independent Dance” for the Hong Kong Dance Award 2012. Victor has been chosen to represent the UK in the latest edition of SPAZIO, a European network for dance creation, and will be joined by five other choreographers in residencies around Europe including Amsterdam, Bassano Del Grappa, Poznan and Zagreb. Besides performing and choreographing, Victor also teaches within the Classes & Courses programme at The Place (London).
„Jurnal” (working title) / Casandra Stelea
„Jurnal” (working title) is a collection of brutally honest autobiographical solo investigations that takes an up close at personal artistic development, personality and identity. With the use of gestures, movement and media, the work is going to be an intricate journey of personal moments, considered provocative and deeply intimate.
Originally from Romania, Casandra completed her BA (Hons) in Choreography at the National University of Theatre and Cinematography „I.L.Caragiale”, Bucharest. She has more than ten years experience in Latin American and Ballroom dances, achieving in several top ten rankings in national competitions. Also, Casandra choreographed for the Romanian version of „Strictly Come Dancing” – „Dansez pentru tine” (6th season).
In 2011 Casandra obtained a scholarship in England to do her Masters Degree in Performance at University of Chichester. Since 2011 Casandra has also been a member of Surrey Dance Collective. In January 2013 Casandra presented her first professional work “Other’s Moments” as part of UK’s biggest dance platform, “Resolution!”, at The Place, in London.
„Atlantic” / Juli Reinartz
Juli Reinartz’s „Atlantic“ is the solo version of the „Really Good Music“ project, which has at its basis a research on the social capacities of sound.
The theoretical research for „Atlantic“ lasted a year and it took place within the residency at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, during which I was interested in the ways we listen to music nowadays, when the technology has become much more available and is more than present in our lives. I’ve put in question how music provides a more diverse space for spectatorship, compared to the spaces usually offered in theatre or dance, as well as the cultural and social implications of music.
The project aims to pick up on these topics by choreographically establishing some situations in which we can listen to and perceive music together, in a common space and by introducing a music that is not so well-known in Central Europe yet, and therefore is not coded in terms of fan culture.
Juli Reinartz studied at the Master for Choreography at the University for Dance and Circus (DOCH). During and after finishing her studies, she was involved in projects with Xavier LeRoy, Jan Ritsema, Verena Billinger / Sebastian Schulz, Kerstin Schroth and Ingri Midgard Fiksdal.
Her pieces have been shown in Tanztage Berlin, 104 Paris, Tanzhaus NRW, Kiasma Helsinki and MDT Stockholm. Her latest production, “pressure and velocity”, premiered in MDT in September 2012 and Juli is invited to join with it a project called “Library” in Iceland and Uferstudios Berlin.
